- Polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography (PS-OCT) provides information on the light polarizing properties of a sample in addition to tissue reflectivity. Biological and medical application of PS-OCT has been expanding in recent years. In this symposium, Dr. Shinichi Fukuda from Tsukuba University, Japan will illustrate the detection of keratoconus with PSOCT corneal imaging and Prof. Toru Nakazawa from Tohoku University, Japan will show us the use of PS-OCT to measuretissue fibrosis in filtering blebs after trabeculectomy. The potential of PS-OCT for diagnosis and management of eye diseases will be explored in this symposium.
