≪Organizer Abstract≫
The activity of remembering is the basic process for reflective workings of the mind. And it is also the fundamental issue for investigating on how the therapeutic meaning making process can be generated in the psychotherapeutic situation. If one can get good remembering and sharing stories with significant others one can recover the sense of self.
In this theme session the authors will focus on the functions of the autobiographical memory in order to investigate the complex reflective process. Particularly it will be discussed on the temporality of the autobiographical memory and the autobiographical reasoning. The authors will present in this session several experimental studies on the exploration of the subjective working on connecting the personal past events to another events. And for the general remarks it will be discussed on the therapeutic meaning of the relation between memory and life story concerning with narrative based approach.
