≪Organizer Abstract≫
The purpose of this session is to discuss the recent researches on the Rorschachin Japan. For the last two decades, there has been a tremendous controversy about validity of the Rorschach Inkblot Method (RIM). Although recent meta-analytic studies showed that psychometric validity of the RIM is acceptable, more experimental and more process-focused research are needed for theoretical development of the RIM. In this session, we will introduce some researches which are conducted from the viewpoint of cognitive psychology or neuroscience. These studies focused on the relationship between some personality and the response process, or participant's brain activity while performing the RIM task. We will discuss contributions of the findings from these studies for the RIM.
