A Study on Values of Arts Undergraduate Students and Educational Strategy

The present study investigates the characteristics of the values of arts undergraduate students based on a dataset from 14 arts universities/colleges in China. The findings indicate that the said arts students mainly hold six types of values, namely and successively, aesthetics-oriented, socialization-oriented, pragmatic-oriented, faith-oriented, science-oriented, and politics-oriented. The aesthetics-oriented is possessed the most, which accords to specialty of the arts majors. It is also implicated that the values of students are nuanced due to the influence of the interviewee's gender, age, enrollment year, parental education levels, parental political status and the administrative ranks of his hometown.
