According to our research, the current state of education system in Kazakhstan is characterized by situation: exact and natural sciences have higher position in the hierarchy of subjects and perceived as more important than 'right-hemisphere' subjects.
We consider the art appreciation as specific internal activity, which needs to start to be developed at schools. Communication with art has influence at many levels: development of divergent thinking, emotional intelligence, ability to comprehend the phenomena under various points of view, and formation of values.
Based on our analyze we suggest that schools need new methodology for such kind of education, and existentially - phenomenological paradigm is more appropriate. The aim is to create opportunity for "an aesthetic rapport", aesthetic experience. Such methodology imposes special requirements to the teacher: he should have experience of interaction with works of art at existential level, and so should be able to develop these ways in pupils.
