The relationship between presence a calling, living a calling andsubjective well-being among company employees:The mediating effects of meaning in life and career identity

This study examined the relation between presence of a calling, living along a calling, subjective well-being, and mediating effects of meaning in life and career identity. The data were collected from 383 employed adults in Seoul and Gyeonggi areas in Korea. The research results were the followings: First, presence of calling had significant impact on subjective well-being, meaning of life, and career identity. Second, the relation of presence of calling to subjective well-being was partly mediated by living through a calling. Third, the relation of living a calling to subjective well-being was partly mediated by meaning in life and career identity. The implications for the future research and career counseling were included.
