Moving from nursery to primary school is an important matters for both children and parents. The present study examines the attitudes of parents of nursery school children entering a primary school next spring. The parents from 2 nursery school completed questionnaires in March 2014. 45 percent of parents said they had an anxiety about the transition to a primary school, 41 percent of parents didn't have an anxiety about that, and 14 percent of parents said they don't know about that. Parents had higher anxiety about "relationships among children in a primary school" (M = 2.4; 1-4 point scale) and "study" (M = 2.3) than "meals" (M = 1.8) and "group action" (M = 1.8). This research is an important step towards developing plans providing adequate information and support for parents of preschoolers.
