Psychometric Properties of the Chinese Version of the short-form UCLA Loneliness Scale (ULS-8) in Adolescents: A Rasch Rating Scale Approach

Abstract
To explore the properties of the Chinese vision of the short-form UCLA loneliness scale (ULS-8) in adolescents using Rasch model. The eight items were used to investigate 1,200 the middle school students and 1,200 undergraduates, respectively. The results show that the items of infit and outfit MNSQ were from 0.74~1.40. The item separation reliability and person separation reliability was 1.57 and 10.37, respectively. The ULS-8 fitted the Rasch model for the adolescents, and no items with a significant DIF were found on the gender variable. In conclusion, the Chinese version of ULS-8 had a good properties.
