The discipline of psychology in health care settings is challenged by increasing demand for services across the health and mental health sector, often with patients with multiple and complex needs. This study explored the effectiveness of a university psychology clinic within a primary health care setting, with evaluation of developing clinical psychology student core competencies and skills and patient and staff satisfaction. The study provided the opportunity to evaluate a collaborative model of clinical psychology training in meeting changing and complex workforce demands in an innovative and flexible way.
