Description
As ophthalmologists, our ultimate goal is to provide an eye health care program that offers a universal, comprehensive package of the highest-quality health benefits to all the people in the world while containing healthcare costs. Therefore, access to eye care services, quality of care, and the costs of eye care are the three important factors to evaluate in regard to the current condition of the eye health care system. In this symposium, we will organize a session on 'Socioeconomics in Ophthalmology', and we will discuss the current situation of socioeconomic aspects in eye health care in various regions in the world by focusing on access, quality and costs.
