Description
Pathological myopia is a leading cause of visual development. In the highly myopic eyes, the axial elongation and posterior staphyloma of the eye result in a thinning of the retina and choroid, which then lead to the development of different types of maculopathy including myopic choroidal neovascularisation, chorioretinal atrophy, and traction maculopathy. Recently, the application of advanced imaging techniques has enhanced our understanding of myopic pathology and developedthe treatment in some types of maculopathy. We would like to share the current topics in the pathologic myopic world with the experts from France and Japan.
