Description
Teleophthalmology is the use of telecommunication for electronic transfer of health-related data between distant areas. This system is very useful to improve the quality of health care in rural area by communicating the data with urban area, or even with different country. This Symposium will show various examples of telecommunications between various institutions. Another problem is the difference of computer formatted data which make the trouble in telecommunications between various institutions which save the data with different format. Standardization of the data such as DICOM format is important to solve these problems.
