- It is a world class session and aims to allow us all to raise our personal bar and get the best from cataract surgery, to enhance results for patients and make sure that ophthalmologists are practising at the best possible standard. Dr Chan from Australia will explain how to optimise the ocular surface prior to cataract surgery, Dr Oliver Findl from Austria will tell us how he gets the best from biometry and Dr Vasavada from India will teach us how to deal with the tough cataract cases. Dr Knorz from Germany will outline why he prefers femtosecond technology and how it benefits his patients. Dr Shimizu from Japan gives us tips for monovision in cataract surgery, Dr Packard from the UK will explain when and how he uses toric IOLs and Dr Lawless from Australia goes in depth into multifocal IOL selection. Sometimes we miss the target and Dr Miyata from Japan will explain how he minimises refractive errors and how he deals with them when they do occur.
