Teaching programs in developing countries vary greatly with the local cultural, economic and political environment. For this symposium excellent programs of various geographic locations (Africa, China, Eastern Europe, India, Latin America) have been selected to describe their experience in overcoming difficult conditions and becoming models in their region. Application of new educational tools will also be explained. Participants will be able to get messages and examples of these exemplary teaching programs to bring home for implication to their own programs.
