Objective
Course attendees will learn techniques of IOL relocation & explantation in different situations.

Summary of Content/Synopsis of the course
This video based course will demonstrate relocation or explantation of IOLs in various situations. The decision to relocate or explant will be justified by the presenter. The safety, merits, possible complications & demerits of standard as well as innovative techniques will be highlighted, discussed and debated by the panel. Relocation or explantation of malpositioned IOLs can be quite a challenge with inadequate support and altered anatomy. The wide variety of IOL materials, designs and complex surgical situations only complicate the matter further. A mix of standard procedures & out of the box thinking can help in relocating or explanting such IOLs safely & securely. The IOL may be relocated by securing it to the Iris, Sclera or Capsule. Video presentations by course faculty will demonstrate a wide variety of such standard & innovative techniques. Attendees will have the opportunity to quiz the faculty on the techniques, their merits, demerits & complications.
