Minimally Invasive Surgery for Esophageal Disease:current standard to future in U.S. 演題番号 : OP-194-4 北方 敏敬:1 Blair Jobe:1 1:Univ Pittsburgh Medical Center, USA Minimally invasive surgery(MIS)for esophageal diseases in U.S. is moving forward to less invasive approach. The most popular MIS for esophagus is laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication for gastroesophageal reflux disease. Recently, we introduced less invasive new technique, transoral incisionless fundoplication(EsophyX). One of reflux-induced complications is Barrett’s esophagus(BE), which is precancerous lesion. Esophagectomy has been a standard option to treat BE with high grade dysplasia. Recently, radiofrequency ablation was reported to be associated with a high rate of complete eradication of BE. We are currently conducting to develop new technique, transoral incisionless esophagectomy, using the extra-cellular matrix, which can prevent esophageal stricture after mucosal resection. |
