Peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) reportedly accounts for nealy 12% of lymphoid tumors worldwide. However, it is extremely rare among children and thought to have poor prognosis. We report three cases of PTCL who have been treated in our hospital.Case 1: A seven-year-old boy, who had presented with right neck pain and swelling, was referred to our hospital where he was diagnosed as peripheral T-cell lymphoma not otherwise specified (PTCL-NOS) by biopsy. EB virus genome was positive. His symptoms spontaneously subsided without any chemotherapy and he remains disease-free for more than two years.Case 2: A five-year-old girl presented with left neck swelling, leading to the diagnosis of PTCL-NOS by biopsy. EB virus genome was positive. She is being treated with subsequent chemotherapies.Case 3: A three-year-old boy developed intussusception and underwent surgery which revealed an abdominal tumor at ileocecal region, later diagnosed as PTCL-NOS pathologically. EB virus genome was negative. He also had a retroperitoneal metastasis that diminished after initial chemotherapy. Afterwards, he developed hemophagocytic syndrome that required steroid treatment. He is undergoing following chemotherapy.PTCL is comparably rare in children and its prognostic factors have yet to be fully evaluated so far. It is crucial to assess the proper treatments for children with PTCL.
