Abstract: Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP®) is a self-management and recovery system that was found to effectively improve hope, recovery, quality of life, and symptom reduction among individuals with mental illness. The present study "WE WRAP" trained university students to become peer facilitators along with facilitators who are in recovery of mental illness to deliver WRAP among university students. 183 university students completed the 4-session WRAP program led by 3 peer facilitators. They were matched with a control group using propensity score (matched on demographics and baseline variables) and all participants completed the questionnaire at pre-, post-, and 3-month follow-up. Results showed that the WRAP significantly improved participants' hopefulness, empowerment, recovery, and self-stigma, compared with the controls. In addition to enhancing self-management of individuals in recovery of mental illness, WRAP has the potential to be used at university campuses to promote mental well-being of university students.
