The Impact Of Green Open Space In Public Higher Education Towards The Levels of Work Stress in Lecturers

Abstract-Green open spaces in university such as parks, forests, community garden, can be a comprehensive tool for improving quality of live of the lecturers in university and reduce work stress level. This research using approach on environmental psychology. The aims of this research is to know what extent of the impact of green open space in the two higher education institutions which is located in two big cities (in Indonesia) towards the levels of work stress of their lecturers who teaching their. The data were collected by using the questionnaire that adopted from the faculty work life questionnaire by University of Windsor Research Ethics Board which is analyzed using SPSS 16.00 for window. Research is done by the quantitative method, using comparative research design which is compare two groups (lecturers in different higher education institutions). Lecturers in Hasanuddin University have more less work stress than the lecturers in Brawijaya university.
