Entrainment may be a basic behavioral format to exchange information in communication. It is observed at early period in human behavior. Condon and Sander (1974) found that neonates entrain their body movement with infant speaking. If entrainment helps organizing communication, traditional communications have functions as an aspect of entrainment associated system. In this research, we focused with Japanese tea ceremony to find entrainment on behavior in traditional communication ceremony. We measured hostess-guest behavioral interaction using myoelectric potential and gravitational acceleration measurement through tea ceremony. As the results, cross correlation coefficient with nodding body movements between hostess and guest increased at -3sec and 0sec time phase through all tea ceremony procedures. It shows that guest leaded entrainment occurs through tea ceremony. Guest`s CV-RR also increased in accordance with the progress of the ceremony. It shows that guest parasympathetic function is activated. This research also examined entrained movements with different tearoom settings.
