The present study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the skill-based training for the truck drivers using feedback method of participants' driving performance. Using gyro sensors, drivers' behavior were automatically measured. Totally 234 drivers participated in an experimental group (skill-based training group) and 25 drivers in a control group (lecture-based training group). Each participant drove a middle-class truck on a course for 20 minutes before and after training. In the skill-based training, instructors showed the evaluation sheets to the each participant after the first driving. His driving performance was discussed then. In the controll group, an instructor gave the participants a lecture using teaching materials on safety driving. After training, participants' performance improved clearly for the experimental group. Such effect was not obtained in the control group. Similar results were obtained to different driving measures in each intersection. The skill-based training showed a certain positive effect on truck drivers' performance.
