ABSTRACT
Several studies have reported a positive influence of workplace spirituality on various individual and organizational outcomes, but few studies have empirically tested the relationship. The current study examines the relationship between workplace spirituality and several job outcomes like organizational commitment, job satisfaction, task performance and contextual performance. The responses are collected through questionnaire survey from 520 executives working in several service organizations. Structural equation modeling is used to analyze the data and test the hypotheses. The findings report a positive association of workplace spirituality with organizational commitment, job satisfaction, task performance and organizational citizenship behaviour. Results are discussed in details in terms of both theoretical and business implications along with directions for future research.
Key words: Workplace spirituality, job satisfaction, task performance and contextual performance
