Jealousy happens when a third party becomes involved in a relationship. There are three primary types of relationships: friendships, dubious relationships, and romantic relationships, and dubious relationships could be further categorized into merely dubious and pre-romantic relationships. Self-designed jealousy scale was conducted to investigate the difference between these four types of relationship. The results indicated that jealousy was significantly different between merely dubious and pre-romantic relationship. It was also found that merely dubious relationships and friendships were similar in jealously, so were pre-romantic and romantic relationships.
